Has the feng shui craze hit where you are yet? Feng Shui is the oriental art of placement. The idea is that how you have things arranged in your house can have an effect on your life. For example, many Chinese restaurants will have an aquarium by the entrance. This is not because they all have such a love of little fish! Having water flowing by the front door is to attract business and money. This probably comes from the idea that a town that is built on a river will have more clients than a town that is 100 miles inland.
Another widely recognized feng shui tradition is to make sure that what you see on the opposite wall when you first walk in your home is of a positive nature. What you see is symbolic of what other people see when they see you!
If you open your front door and are looking at a lovely picture, you can bet your friends have the same first impression of you. But if there's a pile of dirty laundry by the entrance - uh-oh, very bad feng shui! What about staircases? Feng Shui teaches that people who are faced with a staircase the moment they open their front door are programing themselves to have a life of uphill struggle. The "cure" for this architectural mishap is to hang something from the ceiling over the first step, something cheerful that will lift the eyes spontaneously. If you have such a staircase, try suspending a faceted glass crystal about the size of a marble over the foot of the stairs. Watch and see if you don't find your life lifting!

Further Feng Shui "cures" to enhance your life:
Romance:
No mirrors at the foot of the bed. Having a mirror or a television in your bedroom programs your unconscious to accept outsiders into your partnership! If you have such an arrangement, be sure to have the t.v. in a cabinet or covered by a scarf when you aren't watching it.
On the plus side, having a picture of your loved one hanging on your mirror is very good feng shui. This is because your unconscious' main job is to keep you safe. if you've been a little bit lonely or a little bit unhappy, but you're safe, you're unconscious says, "Oh she does sad and lonely so well, let's keep her in the sad and lonely zone.." But if you hang up a picture of your heart's desire, your unconscious doesn't know the difference between a picture and the real thing. That's why when you watch television and you see a car go over a cliff, you know it's just an act but you still get the jolt of adrenalin in the pit of your stomach. So if you have a drawing of your friend - and it doesn't have to be an artistic masterpiece, stick figures are fine - up on your mirror then every time you see yourself your unconscious will be thinking, "Hmm..here she is with her friend and she's still safe, guess it's okay to bring them together..." This works for other situations too. For example if you are wanting more money, write out a check or draw a picture of money and put it on your mirror. The point is, the secret to manifesting whatever it is you want in you must first make your unconscious feel comfortable with the new circumstance. It needs to check it out and make sure you will be safe. Indeed. I've had callers report back both finding love using this technique, but occasionally I will hear that after posting a picture of a desired partner up on their mirror the person instinctively knew this one wasn't right for them after all! A very powerful tool!
Money:
In Feng Shui different parts of the house represent different parts of the body. The front door is your face. To attract more business - along with putting a fish tank or a fountain by the entrance - wash down your the outside of your front door. It's like washing your face. People will feel to stop and give you a second look. Whenever I find my phone line has gotten a bit quiet I go outside and wash the door. Within minutes someone calls! So you see, you don't even need people to actually see your door. It may sound kookie, but who cares/ Works for me!
My favorite money cure is putting a piece of tinfoil the size of a dollar bill in my wallet. This acts as a mirror and when I put my money in next to it I automatically have created the illusion of doubling my money. Try this before you go shopping. I bet you'll find terrific bargains.
Life in general:
With all the classes I've taken and all the hours I've spent helping people feng shui their homes the best tip I can give you to get you started is simply this: Get rid of clutter - Move things around!
Change 27 things in your house and you will change your life!
Well dear friends, I hope you are all well. If you would like a personal feng shui reading on your house, give me a call. I tell you a lot just from your description but I can tell you even more if you know what year the house was built and what direction it is facing.
Best wishes,
Rosada
